Artist's Statement (Abstract Paintings)
Although they are abstract in nature, I consider my paintings landscapes, as each one is a reflection of a very specific place and a very specific time.
Water features prominently in my work, as does sunlight. This is why each of my paintings includes a hint of iridescent pigment, somewhere on the canvas.
I am inspired by the colours of my environment and by how the time of year and time of day can change familiar surroundings into unfamiliar ones.
Each of my abstract paintings have been created using acrylic paint and molding paste.
